First unveiled at the end of last year, fans have been desperate to see gameplay of Sonic Frontiers ever since. Two videos have now been released exclusively to IGN, showcasing the game’s open world design and its combat. But so far fans are unhappy with the direction of the game and - just as with Sonic’s redesign for the film series - are calling for a delay. The first video shows off traversal and the open world, with Sonic speeding across a verdant island, climbing monoliths, and solving puzzles....

A tweet from PlayStation Japan, that has since been deleted, was spotted making the rounds earlier today. Its translation reveals that a demo for Forspoken will be announced on 9th December. Meanwhile, over on the main PlayStation account, the team has a small reel promoting an 11-minute long Forspoken stream that promises to show off new gameplay. This is scheduled for tomorrow at 6pm UK time (10am Pacific). Presumably, the demo will be officially announced here....

Alongside the task to interact with the Rift Tour posters across five locations in the battle royale map and use an Alien Hologram Pad on top of the Party UFO, you can now use an Alien Hologram Pad at Weeping Woods or the Green Steel Bridge for another prize....

This challenge is only available during Week 8 of this season, joining other epic quests such as ignite enemy players or enemy player structures. This one in particular asks you to emote in front of a camera at Believer Beach or Lazy Lake, which are two popular locations in the battle royale map. Completing this challenge will reward you with XP to help you unlock more Battle Stars for the Season 7 battle pass....

In a recent Gamespot interview, a miHoYo spokesperson was asked if there were plans to release more permanent endgame content in the “same vein”. “The Spiral Abyss is one of the most effective ways [for] players [to] test out their party composition and combat strength,” miHoYo replied. “If we design another type of permanent endgame that is similar to the Spiral Abyss, it might end up creating excessive anxiety for our players - not everyone is interested in Musk Reef....
