Both Nioh games were originally released on PS4 and PC, but never on Microsoft’s console. Speaking to VGC, Nioh director Fumihiko Yasuda downplayed any possibility of the game coming to Xbox. An astonishing 12m copies of Elden Ring have been sold in just over two weeks, including 1m in Japan, publisher Bandai Namco and developer FromSoftware confirmed today. And already, there’s talk for what’s next for Elden Ring. In a press release from the two companies, Elden Ring’s sales are described as “a fantastic start for the new franchise”. “Much effort was placed into creating Elden Ring so that we could exceed the expectations of our fans worldwide,” Bandai Namco boss Yasuo Miyakawa said....

From filmmaker Steve Turselli and other industry professionals, the 11-minute “The Interrogation of Timmy H” is as moody and evocative as you might expect of the original Bioshock game. That’s in part due to a new score from the original Bioshock composer Garry Schyman. Timmy H was a follower of Frank Fontaine in the underwater city of Rapture, though things didn’t work out too well for him. In the game he features in an audio diary of his torture, which forms the basis of this short film....

After some criticised the mod’s writing for “fetishy” and inappropriate content, one of the developers was accused of posting “inappropriate content involving anthropomorphic minors,” resulting in the mod’s temporary removal from Nexus Mods. The mod is now back online, but not only has the expelled developer’s work been removed, it seems a number of other contributors have also pulled their content. According to a post from project lead tgspy, “multiple characters’ worth of voice acting” has been removed from the mod after contributors “requested that they not be associated with the project going forward”....

On your first playthrough, you’ll only see three possible dresses between them. Mistborn character Kelsier became a Fortnite character last night, available via the Item Shop complete with in-game artwork and accessories. Fortnite has crossed over with dozens of comics, popstars, film and TV characters in the past. Kelsier, however, is the game’s first novel tie-in. The Misborn series comes recommended by Eurogamer friend Johnny Chiodini, who describes Fortnite’s latest addition thus: “Kelsier is a thief, but he’s also a mistborn - a person who can consume and burn powdered metals in order to fuel a variety of superhuman powers....

Each of the three skins includes multiple designs based on costumes worn throughout the original trilogy - so, Luke in his white farmhand tunic but also his darker Return of the Jedi look, while Leia rocks her bounty hunter disguise as well as her iconic ear buns. The game’s ever-popular Lightsaber weapons are back, as is the return of Darth Vader and various Stormtroopers to defeat. Tim Sweeney, founder and CEO of Epic Games, was recently asked by Twitter user Stormy178 if there were “any plans to update [Fortnite] to make Proton/Wine be compatible with EAC and BattleEye anti-cheat on Linux?”. To this, Sweeney replied with a swift no. He did, however, reiterate there is a “big effort underway to maximize Easy Anti Cheat compatibility with Steam Deck” (via PC Gamer). When asked as to why Fortnite would not be getting an update to make it compatible with Proton (a compatibility layer for Microsoft Windows games to run on Linux-based operating systems, such as the Steam Deck), Sweenery explained: “We don’t have confidence that we’d be able to combat cheating at scale under a wide array of kernel configurations including custom ones....

Scalability is key to Forza Horizon 5 for several reasons. First of all, it’s a Horizon game supports more platforms than it ever has before. In addition to PC (with scalability challenges of its own) and two quite different Xbox Series consoles, there’s Xbox One as well, not to mention Xbox One X. The preview code we had only worked on the new machines, so quite how Playground intends to run the game on Xbox One remains to be seen, but perhaps there are some clues when looking at Series code, principally because both quality and performance modes are included....

The third instalment in the Evil Dead franchise, the film sees its lead characters trapped in the Middle Ages to battle the undead. Fittingly, this medieval-themed DLC adds a new map featuring the film’s iconic Castle Kandar - check it out in the trailer below. Two new weapons will also be added: a slow but powerful mace, and an explosive crossbow. Exploration mode, meanwhile, will allow players to freely explore each of the game’s maps while slaying zombies....
