The news comes as Activision Blizzard continues to reel from the shocking allegations it fostered a company culture where sexual harassment, assault, and inappropriate behaviour were able to thrive, with Blizzard Entertainment itself being called a “breeding ground for harassment and discrimination against women” in a State of California lawsuit filed last year. As the company has continued to face a reckoning over its workplace culture, a number of its flagship titles have seen delays, with the highly anticipated Overwatch 2 and Diablo 4 now not expected to arrive until 2023 at the earliest....

Schreier then went into more detail about these games on ResetEra, saying: “Yup there are (at least) two Warcraft mobile games in development. One Pokémon Go, one other Clash-ish one. Heard good things about both.” However, it has now been confirmed that the Pokémon Go-like Warcraft game has in fact been cancelled. On Friday, Jez Cordon from Windows Central tweeted: “For those DM’ing me about the Warcraft mobile games, I believe the Pokémon Go-like Warcraft game was actually cancelled a while ago....

Bright Memory: Infinite is a fast-paced first-person shooter which combines snappy gunplay with sword driven melee combat. It’s not a long game but what’s here is solid and reasonably well executed - it almost recalls the 2013 reboot of Shadow Warrior, though with more focused, linear level design. Plus, if you’re playing on the latest consoles, Bright Memory Infinite promises support for 120Hz output and ray traced reflections, though not simultaneously....

The “lightning-fast fusion of the FPS and action genre” had a starring role as one of the first games shown in the Xbox Series X gameplay debut back in 2020. News of additional console platforms were confirmed at the Future Games Show - with the vague release window of “coming soon”. If you want to play it now, know that the FYQD-Studio game launched on PC last year - and was described as a “beautiful yet sometimes clunky romp” by our sister site RockPaperShotgun in its review....

At the time of the incident, Bungie - whose own YouTube content was impacted by the bogus copyright claims - insisted the takedowns were not the result of a request by either itself or its partners. The studio later revealed the takedowns had come from “fraudulent accounts created to impersonate our IP protection service”, which it believed may have been retaliation for a “recent set of authentic takedowns of OST uploads”....

Earlier in March this year, a number of top Destiny 2 YouTubers - and even Bungie itself - were struck with a fake DMCA takedown from an unknown user. Bungie has since identified and filed a lawsuit against the user, named Nicholas Minor a.k.a Lord Nazo. Bungie alleges that Minor launched a “malicious campaign to serve fraudulent takedown notices to some of the most prominent and passionate members of that fanbase, purportedly on Bungie’s behalf, in apparent retaliation for Bungie enforcing its copyrights against material Minor uploaded to his own YouTube channel”....

As detailed on Steam, The Callisto Protocol’s season pass consists of four components: the Outer Way Skin Collection, story DLC, a Riot Bundle featuring a new wave-based mode set in an “undiscovered area” of Black Iron Prison, and a permadeath mode included in the Contagion Bundle. Eyebrows were raised, however, with the news the latter two bundles would also add a total of 25 new death animations - 13 for protagonist Jacob and 12 for enemies....

EVE Online FPS Project Nova was initially unveiled in 2016 as a spiritual successor to CCP’s long-defunct free-to-play PS3 shooter Dust 514. Almost two years went by with ne’er a peep on the project, but then October 2018 finally brought a more extensive reveal. Unexpectedly, though, just a month later, CCP announced its intention to “return to the drawing board” with Project Nova, and 18 months after that, the game was officially no more....

The original Pharaoh, developed by isometric city builder supremos Impressions Games, released in 1999 and gave players the opportunity to participate in fifteen centuries of Ancient Egyptian history, beginning by establishing nomad settlements and slowly flexing their management muscles to create and maintain bustling cities as its campaign progressed. At first, that merely means ensuring the population’s basic needs are met in classic city building fashion - plopping down a logistically solid network of housing, roads, and simple amenities - but Pharaoh grows steadily more complex, extending its management systems out to include the likes of economy, trade, health, agriculture, education, culture, religion, and warfare....

Nightdive’s remaster was announced back in March 2020, but the project appeared to be on a permanent hiatus after the studio told Eurogamer it was struggling to overcome certain “obstacles”. It was a bit of a surprise, then, when Nightdive’s long-awaited Enhanced Edition of Blade Runner resurfaced earlier this month with a 23rd June release date, but perhaps less of a surprise, given its history, when the remaster launched to less-than-stellar reviews....

The original Syberia, if you’re unfamiliar, released all the way back in 2002, quickly charming adventure game fans with its gently surreal story of a New York lawyer dispatched to deal with the sale of a former automaton factory hidden in the French Alps. An equally well-regarded sequel followed two years later, but it took a further 15 years for Walker’s adventures to continue. Unfortunately, 2017’s Syberia 3 was generally considered to be a bit of a dud - plagued by technical problems and flawed design - leaving many to assume its poor reception would mark the end of the series....

Cult of the Lamb was first announced at Gamescom 2021 with a trailer that was equal parts adorably wholesome and downright creepy. However, at that time, those eager to embrace the animalistic cult life were none the wiser as to which platform it would be coming to. However, it turns out no one is going to miss out, as Cult of the Lamb will be coming to all of them....

Delayed following the CD Projekt cyber attack, update 1.2 offers a number of welcome fixes for car handling, police reaction times, and NPC behaviours out in the open world. There are also a number of other fixes across the entire game, as well as specific improvements to PC and console versions. Here’s what’s been added to Cyberpunk 2077 in patch 1.2 - copied verbatim from developer CD Projekt’s official blog - available on March 29th, 2021 on PC and consoles, with a Stadia update sometime later this week....

It is also, honestly, quite a good game. And those two things can be true at once! This is the nature of big budget video games and Cyberpunk 2077 is, if anything, an exercise in understanding that. Playing around with the latest “next-gen” patch only brings it into sharper focus. If you haven’t read the patch notes - of which there are many - there are a lot of things it fixes, tweaks and adds....

Of course, this batch is undoubtedly headlined by the long-awaited arrival of Deathloop, the full version of Grounded, and indie hit Valheim on PC. Parents and the young at heart may also be pleased to see new release Paw Patrol Grand Prix is also part of this latest update. The popular pups’ take on Mario Kart joins Game Pass next week. As previously announced, Arkane’s acclaimed Deathloop arrives on Xbox and enters Game Pass for cloud, console and PC today....

Previously known as Solstice of Heroes, it once again provides unique armour with three tiers of upgrades to unlock - with the challenges required to do so changing. Meanwhile, Elemental Orbs are also no more. The centerpiece location - the EAZ - has also been given a revamp, tying in closer with how you unlock and upgrade your armor pieces. Elsewhere, there’s the usual Tower makeover, new Eververse items, several new resources to earn and another new weapon to unlock, Something New, alongside the return of Compass Rose....
